St. Patrick's Community Hospital, Fermoy Fundraising Association have been exceptionally active for the last 30 years. Despite achieving so much over 3 decades, the group show no sign of easing off and already plans are well advanced for a music marathon in Cheers Bar, Fermoy on Sunday, 2nd June.

Association members have been doing 'the rounds' in Fermoy and glad to report, that despite the severe financial pressure businesses are under, the response has been very good. Numerous businesses have come on board and their contributions will be acknowledged in the weeks ahead.

A raffle for some very attractive prizes is part of the music marathon package and these will be for sale (€2 each or 3 for €5) in Cheers, Herlihy's Centra, Fermoy; Amber Service Station, Fermoy and the reception desk of Fermoy Hospital.

STRONG SUPPORT

The music marathon was formally launched in Cheers last Monday evening. At the launch hospital fundraising chairman, Tom Higgins from Conna thanked Paul McNulty for hosting the music marathon, Herlihy's Centra for organising a barbecue on 2nd June and the many individuals and businesses who are making prizes available for the raffle - this level of generosity was much appreciated, Mr Higgins said.

Special guests at the launch included Eoin Murphy from The Buachaills and Derek Burke of Crystal Swing fame.
