As Covid-19 cases rise and a new variant now on our shores confirmed, it is understood that many people in the locality, particularly the elderly, are returning to cocooning.

During the first and second lockdowns, local volunteers in Fermoy, Mitchelstown and surrounds turned out in their droves to help those vulnerable and cocooning by running errands and lending a hand in their time of need.

One such service that went above and beyond during the Covid enforced lockdowns and is still serving the locality, is Meals on Wheels who are based in the Fermoy Community Resource Centre.
