“The whole idea is that we’re co-locating with people we need to be able to work with,” Claire O’Donovan, ECC Network Manager CHN5, said as The Avondhu visited the new Primary Care Centre at Mill Island in Fermoy last week.

“If a patient is here with a broken leg, and someone identifies something wrong somewhere else, they can easily send them to the right person. I’m here since September or October and I’ve already seen a huge change in how people are interacting,” she added.

In 2017, word broke of the plans to develop a Primary Care Centre at Mill Island in Fermoy at the site of the vacant Mill building.
