There were little goblins, dinosaurs, vampires, pumpkins, witches and many more tiny ghoulish creatures in Mitchelstown Library on Hallowe'en to get their faces painted and to dabble in a bit of photography with local, Carole Bradley.

Throughout the day, little monsters and ghouls eagerly waited to get their faces painted and enjoyed playing around with a professional camera at Carole's kid's photo workshop, while tucking into some tasty Hallowe'en treats ahead of their night of trick or treating.

Speaking to The Avondhu, Carole said that the workshop was a phenomenal success, with many children trying out photography for the first time, while others had come back to try out the workshop after enjoying it so much the last time she ran it.

Throughout the day, there were more than 150 children and it's a great activity to encourage children to try something new and be creative, while the frame and props provided proved very popular with both parents and children. Using fun frames and Hallowe'en props, the kids were first photographed by Carole, before taking the camera into their own hands and taking a few snaps of their own.

The whole event was free of charge and parents will be able to pick up their complimentary photographs from Carole today, Thursday (November 7) in the library, where they will be on display.
