An Irish owned and designed athleisure brand, with two co-founders hailing from Cork, has been named winner of The Pitch.

The Pitch is a nationwide competition run by IMAGE Media, in association with Samsung Ireland, which gives fledging companies the chance to win €100,000 of Samsung technology for their business.

Gym+Coffee, co-founded by Cork entrepreneurs Niall Horgan and Diarmuid McSweeney, and Dublin entrepreneur Karl Swaine, was named the overall winner following a live final at Dublin City’s Hall where nine entrepreneurs had to make their business pitch to a panel of esteemed judges on why they should win the life-changing prize for their company.

The brand, which stocks hoodies, tee-shirts, leggings, shorts and more, was created for an active, multi-tasking, adaptable and social community.

As well as winning a huge suite of game-changing technology products, they will also receive a significant multi-platform media package and a social media marketing masterclass.

The company have two stores in Ireland, including one in Mahon Point, Cork.
