Stephanie Dunne recently retired from her position as postmistress in Mitchelstown Post Office after 40 years service.
Stephanie said she was overwhelmed by the amount of good wishes she received and took the opportunity to extend a word of thanks to all the people who were so kind to her on the big occasion.
“My thanks to all those twho called into the office to wish me well on my last day and gave cards, gifts, flowers and took me out for meals etc., my sincerest thanks to you all.
“Thank you all for your support over the years. Wishing you all a happy and holy Christmas. Masses will be offered for you all,” she concluded.
