The next milestone in the reopening of Glenroe National School has been reached as a head teacher has been appointed.
Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board announced this week that Julie O’Connor has been appointed as the head teacher for Glenroe CNS.
Speaking of her joy at the prospect of taking on the role of head teacher in Glenroe, Julie said “I am looking forward to establishing the school and to welcoming the children on their first day … it is an historic development and I am delighted to play a part in it.”
Ms O’Connor attended the registration evening in Glenroe Community Hall on Wednesday, June 24 and is looking forward to meeting the parents of the children as well as members of the local community.
