GLANWORTH JUVENILE GAA

Our U12 footballers have qualified for the league final after completing the league phase unbeaten, following last Saturday's victory over Killavullen.

A league final appearance is a richly deserved reward for this fantastic group of players whose skill, heart and discipline has shone throughout the league.

From the leadership shown by Nathan in the first 2 games when we hadn't much football done, through to the ever improving Colm Quinn who has caught fire in the latter stages of the league, we are really proud of this group.

The two Diarmuids, Gallagher and O’Brien are an ever-dependable, classy duo in whatever role they are asked to play.

A pacey quartet of Darragh Casey, Paul Clancy, Peadar Moynihan and Gearoid Desmond are a teak tough set of defenders that have kept opposition forwards at bay throughout.

Our all-action midfielders Kyle Roberts, Sean Barry and John Doyle have given us a strong platform in each game.

Then we come to the free scoring, heads-up forwards like Ricky O’Donoghue and Tadhg Linehan who finish off the hard work of their teammates.

Add to the list the burgeoning talents of Jim McGrath, Casey Drummond and the energetic Oisín O’Haolain and it’s no wonder we have qualified.

At the time of writing we await the winners of Kildorrery v Mitchelstown in the final.

Either team would be worthy opposition having run us close already in the league.
