Last Saturday we had our social for 2015 where we celebrated the achievements of our junior hurlers in capturing the North Cork title for the first time.

A lot of people would have thought we might never have this occasion, but you know what, is was worth the wait. It took place in The Firgrove Hotel, Mitchelstown and we thank them as their service was top class and everyone really enjoyed the meal.

After we had finished eating, it was time for the presentations of the medals to the lads, but first we heard from our chairman Arthur O’Keeffe, who congratulated the lads on their great achievement and to Seanie O’Connell and his selectors he expressed his gratitude to them for getting us over the line.

He also spoke on how the future is looking bright and hopefully we can keep going from here. He then asked Barry Aherne, chairman of the North Cork GAA Board who said he was honoured to be asked along and how he was delighted for us in winning the title.
