This Friday, June 19 sees the Garryspillane U14 team head off to Derry to represent us at Feile na nGael 2015.
Teams participating at the National Finals of Féile na nGael and Féile Peil na nÓg will be nominated by their County Bord na nÓg to represent their respective counties. We are very proud of the team we are sending to represent Garryspillane GAA Bord na nOg.
This year we are being hosted by St Colm’s of Ballinascreen GAA in Draperstown, Co Derry. Our first match Friday evening is at 4pm and that is against Trim; we play again at 6pm against Slaughtneill, a Derry team. The following morning our first game is against the host club, St Colm’s. Sundays schedule will depend on our success on Friday and Saturday. We are in a tough division but we have prepared well and are determined to do our best.
Getting to Feile is a fantastic achievement but preparing for Feile is a huge commitment. It takes weeks of dedication from the players, mentors, parents and the club. We would like to sincerely thank anyone who has helped in any way towards getting us prepared for our Feile weekend, from those who supported our fundraising efforts to those who helped organize the players and get us game ready.
We would also like to wish our chairman TJ Ryan and his Limerick team the best of luck against Tipperary this weekend.
