26 MacCurtain Street, Fermoy may be waiting until 2025 before any works on site will begin as the project at the former Annie’s Restaurant is awaiting funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development.
The property was purchased by Cork County Council under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) Category 2 funding which saw €1.925 million allocated to the town.
“The funding approved was for purchase of the property and the design of refurbishment works. Cork County Council are currently progressing the initial design phase for the refurbishment works,” a Cork County Council spokesperson confirmed.
