A wonderfully colourful friendship bench outside the CBS Primary School in Mitchelstown was affixed into place and unveiled by the Mitchelstown Men's Shed members, who made the bench for the school and its pupils and staff members.

Principal Mary O'Callaghan told The Avondhu that the school forges various partnerships with different groups in the community, as part of their outreach programme. She said that the men's shed offered to make the bench and it is now a lovely and bright contribution to the school.
