SPECIAL OCCASION: Breeda Kiely-Morgan in the company of Helen Roche at last Thursday's tribute night to Frank Morgan in The Palace Theatre, Fermoy. (John Ahern)

Known to many as a highly accomplished photographer whose studio was located on Fermoy's MacCurtain Street, Frank Morgan was first and foremost an affable, quietly spoken individual whose personal charm endeared him to many.

In tandem with his photographic career, Frank was a script writer and film maker who was responsible for a collection of award winning productions.

At last Thursday's tribute night to Frank in The Palace Theatre, Fermoy those in attendance got an insight in to this man of many talents – more specifically, his commitment to film making, his attention to detail, his ability to inspire people and his quest for cinematic perfection.

A huge crowd turned out to hear a variety of speakers give informative and frequently humourous accounts of their interaction with the popular Rathcormac native.
