Four summits conquered as Dillon sets record

In under 24 hours, Kildorrery teen Dillon Lynch incredibly climbed all four of Ireland’s highest peaks last weekend alongside his father, Pat O’Brien, setting the All-Ireland record.

Over a duration of 22 hours and 18 minutes, the pair managed to log the highest point of the four provinces of Ireland as part of the national 4 peaks challenge.

Taking to the hills on Saturday, June 18th, Dillon reached the summit of Slieve Donard (840m) in Ulster at 1.01am, Luqnaquilla (925m) in Leinster at 7.11am, Mweelrea (841m) in Connacht at 3.15pm and Carrauntoohil (1,040m) in Munster at 11.19pm.
