Four local medical students, all attending UCC, will be volunteering their expertise in various parts of Africa for four weeks this summer.

Cathal Lee (Lismore) and Rachel Riegel (Fermoy) will be travelling to Malawi to Cape Maclear and Nhkoma hospitals respectively; Cormac Mulcahy (Conna) will be travelling to Zambia to Lusaka Hospital and Niamh Ryan (Mitchelstown) will be travelling to Tanzania to Makiungu hospital.

All four have spent the last few months partaking in various different fundraisers and are looking forward to the summer ahead.

It promises to be the experience of a lifetime and will be extremely rewarding for the students involved.
