As the Irish healthcare services continue to deal with a predicted growth in the number of patients presenting with Covid-19, it is understood that the HSE is now identifying potential locations throughout the country for beds and isolation wards.

According to media reports, the locations for beds would include existing health facilities, student accommodation, hotel rooms, military and other sites.

In Fermoy, on Friday morning last, three removal vans were present at St Frances Health Centre, which is located on the Rathealy Road.
