A stay has been put on the sales auction of Galbally Garda Station after local councillor Eddie Ryan along with a delegation from the Galbally Voluntary Housing Association met with senior officials of Limerick City and County Council.
The building was to be sold by the OPW by public auction next Thursday.
According to Cllr Ryan, on Wednesday last week both he and the voluntary housing association met with officials to discuss options, and on Friday the OPW confirmed to him that the building was withdrawn from auction.
