Five burglaries reported in different areas in one day last week are believed to be linked. All occurred between 9am and 5pm on Thursday last, February 21st. Two houses in North Cregg, Fermoy were broken into along with a house in Dunmahon, Glanworth; Ballyveelick, Castletownroche and Ballingurrane, Killavullen. Jewellery was taken in four out of the five break-ins.

Two males, one a teenager, were seen at the house in Castletownroche. While no vehicle was sighted, Gardai believe they had access to transport and they are appealing to anyone who may have seen a car or suspicous activity in any of the areas to contact them.

In the wake of this most recent spate of break-ins, they are also urging people to secure their properties to the fullest extent possible while away from home.
