This fisherman was caught fishing illegally downstream of the weir in Fermoy last Monday morning.
A ban on fishing downstream of the weir in Fermoy was put in place on Thursday, June 28.
The fisherman, who was using a spinner, was informed by locals that there was no spinning allowed in that area of the river. However, the man ignored the warnings and continued to fish.
A member of An Garda Siochána was notified and he signalled to the fisherman to stop fishing – the fisherman yet again ignored the warning.
