Keith Byrne who is originally from Beechfield, Fermoy has very little time left to decide his fate as he faces deportation from the USA, where he has lived since 2007.
The 37 year old left for America 12 years ago on a holiday visa. There, he met Keren who became his wife in 2009 and they have three children – Leona, Gabriel and Keith’s stepson Ezra.
On Wednesday July 10, Keith was picked up in Philadelphia by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials while he driving to work.
He is being held in Pike County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania at present and it is understood that on Tuesday evening July 16, Keith was presented with a deal from ICE.
