Fermoy refuses to cancel Christmas

Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee are letting locals know that Christmas is not cancelled.

With much local concern regarding whether or not Christmas lights will go ahead in the town this year, the Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee are assuring locals that the lights are not cancelled and will go ahead.

Chairman of the lights committee and local councillor Noel McCarthy, said they are sending out a message that the lights will go ahead and that they are looking for everyone’s help and cooperation.

“This is the right thing to do, not to cancel Christmas and to make a good atmosphere to support local and do your Christmas shopping in Fermoy, even during this pandemic,” he continued.
