Events are continuing apace in Fermoy this week to mark 'Fermoy Against Bullying' week. Awareness of the issue was raised and the anti-bullying week flagged by a strong presence in the St. Patrick's Day parade in the town on Sunday.

Fermoy Family Coordinating Group, a group of individuals and representatives from groups in the Fermoy area who meet regularly to discuss issues relevant to supporting families and community development, are behind the initiative. They decided to act after being approached by people concerned about the issue.

A series of talks, discussion and workshops is continuing in the town until this Friday, March 22nd. The organisers are pleased at the attendance at the events so far and feel a strong start has been made in tackling what has become a most serious issue.
