Recently, the people of Shanballymore and further afield took to the roads and clocked up over 1,400 kilometres in aid of two very deserving charities.
Namely, the local St Vincent de Paul and Féileacáin (Stillbirth and Neonatal Association of Ireland) and due to the unbelievable kindness of everyone who contributed and donated, the club raised €7,860 by Monday evening, with more funds coming in pushing us closer to €8k.
At the outset of this venture the club set a target of €2,500 and this was surpassed before the event commenced on the Saturday morning and the funds just kept rolling in.
