Christmas will be magical in Kilbehenny this year, with a Christmas extravaganza and craft fair on Sunday, December 8, before a special visitor from the North Pole arrives by horse and sleigh.

Santa will arrive at 2pm and there will be lots of fun things for the children to do, including face painting, a disco, colouring, a Christmas movie and the Brownies and Ladybirds will be singing carols at 3.45pm, before Santa switches on the lights on the outdoor Christmas tree.

Children can enter for free and each child will get to meet Santa for free and will go home with a small surprise.

A photographer will also be on hand to take photographs for €5 for a 5x7 mounted print, or people are welcome to bring their own cameras.

The entrance fee for adults is €3 and each ticket will be entered into a raffle - these will run every half hour, but the person has to be in the community centre at the time to claim their prize.

There will be about 30 stalls on the day in the community centre with everything from baking and treats to woodwork, knitting, Christmas cards, jewellery, handbags, fruit and vegetables and much more.

The cost of a stall indoors or outdoors is €10 and if anyone is interested in having a stall, please contact Helena Heenan on 087-1329663, Mary Gorey on 086-8359041 or the community office on 025-85721.

Throughout the evening, there will be tea, coffee, cakes for sale and also a shop for the children with snacks, sweets and minerals.

All are welcome to what promises to be a fun and festive day out for all the family.
