Engineers’ Week 2013 was a week long programme of nationwide events with the aim of celebrating the world of engineering in Ireland, which ran from 25th February to 3rd March. On 27th February a group of first year students from Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy were selected to visit the Lifetime Lab in Cork as part of Engineers’ Week, where they took part in an interactive exhibition called Mathsworks.

Students involved in Mathsworks were asked to undertake a variety of mathematical challenges at over 20 stations, using their problem-solving skills and a little teamwork to complete a selection of exciting puzzles. After all their hard work, the engineers of the future were presented with Engineers’ Week T-shirts to celebrate their efforts. Well done to all concerned.
