Capital and funding support for sustainable energy projects is readily available for businesses, was the key message at the ‘Energy Finance for a New Era’ conference hosted by Energy Cork last Thursday, April 12.

More than 120 business people attended to hear from representatives of the European Investment Bank, Triodos Bank, AIB, Ireland Energy Efficiency Fund, SEAI and Enterprise Ireland among others, on energy finance.

SIGNIFICANT R.O.I.

“Green energy can make a direct and big difference to a company’s bottom line, and while there is investment required, the return on investment is very significant. The Energy Cork conference highlighted how companies and organisations can access a variety of funding sources to implement a sustainable, renewable energy strategy,” said Frank Caul, Chair of Energy Cork.

Efficiency financing, blockchain, corporate PPAs, project financing and innovative financial models were also under discussion with several case studies providing valuable insights to the requirements for green energy financing options.
