There were tonnes of electrical waste collected at the WEEE recycling day in Fermoy Mart Car Park on Saturday, July 20.
People brought car loads and trailer loads of electrical, battery and lighting waste which was recycled for free.
WEEE will hold another collection point, this time at the Tesco Car Park in Mitchelstown on this Saturday, August 10 from 10am until 4pm.
Locals are advised to take this opportunity and help ensure that old electrical items are not dumped on our roadsides.
