Elderly man dies following crash

An elderly local man involved in a recent single vehicle road traffic accident has died.

An elderly local man involved in a recent single vehicle road traffic accident has died.

The late Jack Bowdren, from Grange West, Fermoy, who was aged 92, was removed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of his injuries following the collision at Kilmagner, Fermoy on Saturday, December 7th. He passed away in hospital on Sunday last.

He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (nee Foley) and is survived and sadly mourned by his five daughters, Breda (Walsh) Ann (Walsh) Clare (Lombard), Mary (Ahern) and Catherine (Topping), sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives, neighbours and friends.

He was buried at Castlehyde Cemetery after Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Dublin Road, Fermoy. o his sorrowing family, we extend our deepest sympathy.
