Tallow has been named among 26 towns nationwide to benefit from a €2.6 million fund to enhance streetscapes and shopfronts.
A sum of €100,000 has been allocated as part of the Streetscape Initiative to the West Waterford town and will see a number of projects carried out including upgrades to building facades, artwork, murals, lighting, street furniture and canopies.
Speaking with The Avondhu, local councillor and Tidy Towns member John Pratt, said he is ‘absolutely delighted’ with the news.
“It’s brilliant for the town. We’re now going to be engaging with community groups and property owners to see what can be achieved for the town,” Cllr Pratt said.
