Glenroe played host to the Barrett Auto Craft Limerick Hillclimb for the second consecutive year over the Bank Holiday weekend, counting as rounds 7 and 8 of the Irish Hillclimb and Sprint Championship.

Tulla's Robert Dwane continued his dominance of this year's championship as he took victory both Saturday and Sunday on the 2.5km course.

The 21-year-old, in an OMS, led from start to finish with Gary Cunningham finishing second, followed by Peter McKinley on each round.

On Saturday, Glenroe competitor Denis O'Connell won class 8 on his home hill in a Honda Civic while his brother Tadhg finished second in class using the same car on Sunday.

Peter McDonnell from Ballylanders claimed class 9 honours on both days of the event, also competing in a Honda Civic, on a hill that is becoming increasingly popular with competitors throughout the country.
