This year's Harvest Fair in Anglesboro took an interesting twist, as the closing of the creamery in 1981 was re-enacted and now this Friday, to add to the experience, people are invited to attend a viewing of the original DVD made when the creamery was closed back in 1981.

This DVD was organised by the late Michael O'Connell and Anglesboro Community Council are extending an open invitation to all, for the screening on this Friday, November 22 at 7.30pm. Light refreshments will also be served and they are hoping that people will share their stories about the creamery over the years.

At the Harvest Fair 2013, crowds arrived from midday onwards and there was a great air of nostalgia, as people brought along churns and other vintage items related to the creamery in its day. The youth and senior drama groups also jointly performed a sketch, published and produced by John and Margaret Ann McGrath.

The real attention to detail shone when an old Ford truck with two separate tanks fitted to the rear took away the last load of milk - the truck was also very poignantly driven by John Dawson, Carrigaroche, Galbally who also drove the truck back in 1981.

Anglesboro Community Council wish to thank everyone who supported this year's festival and they hope to welcome people from Anglesboro and surrounding areas to the DVD screening on Friday, as part of the Gathering experience in the community.
