The events of August 2013, as volunteers set off on a cross country trip around Ireland in two Model T Ford trucks to raise money for hospices through the Drive to Survive campaign, will culminate this Friday when a cheque presentation event will be held in Ballylanders.

The cheques will be presented at Gallahue's Function Hall at 7pm on Friday night with finger food and musical entertainment from The Voice of Ireland Keith Hanley, Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, The Liam Lynch Pipe Band and the Humbucker Freshmen.

On the night, up to €140,000 will be presented to 22 hospices from around the country.

The event is free and all volunteers and sponsors, those who ran their own individual events and people from the community, are being invited to attend what promises to be a great fun night that should live on in the memories of people for many years to come.
