The songs and the stories of Dolly Parton as performed by Heidi McCaffrey is a fascinating piece of music theatre which captures the achievements of this incredible woman who created and performed some of the greatest and most instantly recognisable songs ever produced.

Singer, songwriter, film star, Dolly was one of 12 children in a family where money was always scarce. She began her professional career at the tender age of 10 and made her Grand Ole Opry debut three years later. This was followed in 1971 when she had her first No 1 country hit with 'Joshua'.

From then on success followed success with Dolly gaining worldwide recognition from hits such as 'Jolene', 'I Will Always Love You', 'Here You Come Again' which topped the country and the pop charts. This song also brought Dolly her first Grammy Award and of course she won the Country Music Award for female vocalist in 1975 and 1976.

This year-at the age of 68-she headlined and stole the show at Glastonbury, the worlds biggest outdoor festival! An amazing woman with an astonishing story of rags to riches and beautifully crafted songs.
