Diversions are in place this morning following an eary morning incident on the M8 motorway, in the vicinity of Junction 14.
Several units of the local brigade attended the scene before 8am – it is understood a truck shed its load following a collision with another vehicle.
According to AA Roadwatch, ‘The M8 northbound is closed between J14 Fermoy North and J13 Mitchelstown South as emergency services deal with a collision. Traffic is being diverted at J14.’
It is unclear whether there were any injuries.
Motorists undertaking any essential journeys should avoid the area until further notice.
