An Bord Pleanála has overruled a planning decision by Cork County Council whereby 19 houses in Rathcormac were not to be occupied until a range of conditions were met by housing developers, Abden.
The conditions originally set down by Cork County Council said that the services in an adjoining housing estate would need to be taken in charge, and all snags dealt with, before Abden Development Ltd could proceed with the 19 houses and creche in the Lisnagar area.
However, following an appeal by the developers, An Bord Pleanála (ABP) decided that such requests by Cork County Council were beyond the remit of Abden Development.
