Irish Water’s decision to sanction the building of a new water reservoir in Kildorrery without including an upgrade to a 2.4km problematic pipeline have been described as ‘bitterly disappointing’.

Irish Water’s decision to sanction the building of a new water reservoir in Kildorrery without including an upgrade to a 2.4km problematic pipeline have been described as ‘bitterly disappointing’.

No timeline was given on when the new water reservoir would be constructed, but it understood that any repairs or replacement to the pipeline would not be considered until Irish Water’s next work programme of 2016-2018. 

The news was outlined by County engineer David Keane at this month’s Northern Division meeting in Mallow . . .
