The buzz, excitement and anticipation is building in Mitchelstown as the town prepares itself for the 2017 staging of the Indiependence Music & Arts Festival, along with the much anticipated busking festival which will take place on the streets of the town.
In excess of 12,000 people are expected to visit the town this bank holiday weekend and already the town is filling up with excited revellers and tourists alike. On a sunny Friday (4th), the town was looking splendid with bunting and colour catching the eye outside business premises lining both Upper and Lower Cork Street.
And for those looking to explore some of the most picturesque parts of Ireland, the Mitchelstown Music Trail ensures there is no excuse not to check out Mitchelstown itself. On Saturday, live music will be on offer across the town, with the busking competition taking place outside various venues. The music festival and associated entertainment has always been important to the people of Mitchelstown and festivalgoers will get to see this for themselves over the weekend.
