On Tuesday of this week, The Avondhu became aware that works were being carried out on two ponds in the IDA’s Fermoy Business and Technology Park, which is located on the northern outskirts of the town.

The ponds in question are focal points for a whole host of flora and fauna which have developed and thrived in the area across the years.

Describing the scene that he encountered while walking earlier this week in the business park, Fermoy native Chris ‘Kipper’ O’Donovan claimed that workers ‘had flattened the whole thing’.
