The Mouse Pad to close down
Starting next week, there will be an eight week course for teenagers in Mitchelstown on how to cope with loss or change.
The course ‘Living with Loss – Seasons for Growth’, is for 13-19 year olds and it will begin on Tuesday, February 26, from 4pm until 5.30pm in the Oznam Centre on Thomas Street in Mitchelstown. It is being run by the Mitchelstown Family Coordinating Committee and will focus on self-esteem, managing feelings, problem solving, decision making, effective communication and support and how to manage change effectively.
If you are a parent who thinks your child would benefit from the course, or you or a friend are unsure if it would suit you, talk to the facilitators and find out what the course involves. Kay can be contacted on 085 7450077 or Evelyn on 087 2398332.
To register or for further information, contact Bríd on 025 84733 or the Social and Health Education Project on 021 4666180.
