Ballyhoura Development will run a ‘Start Your Own Business’ course for people who have a business idea they wish to realise or for those who have just started a business. It will take place in the Community House in Stag Park, Mitchelstown, starting on Tuesday, July 2 running for six Tuesdays from 10am until 3pm.

The course will cover things like idea generation, developing a business plan, communication, business administration, marketing and computer applications.

There will also be a one-to-one element which will offer people individual attention and guidance to ensure that their particular needs and concerns are being addressed.

Enterprise officer with Ballyhoura Development, John Hassett explained that the course aims to give people real life experience of what’s involved in setting up a business, help people to develop good support systems and networks and give them role models to which they can relate.
