It was announced this week that Cork County Council will financially support the running costs which will be associated with Doneraile Court when the ground floor has been refurbished and when the new exhibition area is up and running.
Fianna Fail TD Kevin O’Keeffe, has greatly welcomed this news which follows on from the earlier announcement that contracts to begin the refurbishment works on the ground floor have now been signed.
"I have been pursuing this matter for a long time now and I am delighted to receive confirmation from the council in this regard. Doneraile Court and Park have been attracting huge volumes of visitors for years and the refurbishment project is significant with works on the ground floor due to commence," said Deputy O'Keeffe, adding that it is 'great recognition' for the North Cork area.
