The condition of the trees in the Stag Park housing estate in Mitchelstown which has been described as being ‘a bit of a jungle’, are to receive attention according to Cork County Council.

The council has also confirmed that landscaping works will also be carried out at the estate on the Kildorrery Road.

The ‘lax approach’ of the council to outdoor maintenance at the estate was raised at last month’s Northern Committee meeting by Cllr Deirdre O’Brien who highlighted the trees that surround the estate as a particular ‘bug bear’ to residents.
