‘The CAP Post 2020 – What Will It Mean For Cork Farmers?’ meeting advertised in last week’s edition of The Avondhu has had to be deferred following the unavailability of officials from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
The meeting had been due to take place in the Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, this Thursday, January 23 and a large attendance was expected.
But following notification from the Department that its officials would be unavailable that night the ICMSA organisers have decided to defer the meeting and notification and publicity around the rescheduled date will be made known well in advance.
The meeting had been proposed by West Cork ICMSA’s chairperson, Eileen Calnan, who apologised but pointed out that it was due to circumstances beyond ICMSA’s control and assured interested Cork farmers that the meeting will go ahead within a short time.
