Mackin Consultancy Ltd has become the first Environmental Health & Safety and Training Company in Ireland to be awarded ISO 9001.

The company, with its headquarters in Cork, offers ISO Implementation and Environmental Health and Safety Services to all industries from Accountants to Zoos, to all companies from SMEs to Multi Nationals. The company also has offices in Dublin and the U.K.

Managing director Andrew Mackin said: “I am delighted to now have the ISO Quality Standard in place and it is a huge credit to the entire team of Mackin Consultancy. The ISO accreditation follows an investment by the company to modernise its systems and procedures. Over the past year everyone has put in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure we achieved this accreditation and are very proud of this award.”

Andrew also said is delighted that Terry Payne, senior EHS Consultant at Mackin Consultancy is now qualified as a Lead Auditor and the ISO accreditation was in no small way due to Terry’s hard work and dedication to the process.

“The expansion of the work force is as a direct result of applying ISO 9001 Standards to the organisation. It has streamlined the way we do business and how we look after our clients by raising the overall standards of the organisation which benefits everyone and will allow the organisation to go from strength to strength.”

Claire Goulding is now joining the team as Training Manager and Trish Hyland who hails from Castlelyons and who has been working with Mackin Consultancy for the past 8 years, says she is looking forward to her new role as Business Development Manager.

Mackin Consultancy is also QQI accredited and is registered with Solas, eTenders and RSA.
