Readers will by now be aware of the concerted effort currently underway amongst the Burncourt community to save Mountain Lodge which is located in a picturesque setting in Glengarra Wood.

The building, which was used as a hostel run by An Óige up until 2012, needs urgent attention having fallen foul of vandals in recent times.

The 19th century shooting lodge was built for the First Viscount Lismore Cornelius O’Callaghan ...
