Over the last number of years, great progress has been made in the Kilbehenny in terms of the Tidy Towns competition, as they won two national and several regional awards, but this year, they are hoping to encourage more people to get involved and are urging people to attend a general meeting next Monday, May 19 at 7.30pm in the community centre.
Tidy Towns committee member, Moss Fitzgerald said that while the committee are delighted with the results to date, they believe there is still a lot of work to be done.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the meeting, as the committee will be discussing the programme that will be put in place for the Tidy Towns competition over the next 12 months.
"People can make a difference in their area, so we are asking people to please come along to this important meeting and bring a friend," Moss added.
