The cucumber sandwiches may have been missing, however, outside of this quaint detail, last Sunday’s regatta in Fermoy was the archetypal boating event – complete with fast moving crews, enthusiastic supporters, riverside picnics, barbecues, music by Fermoy Concert Band and of course, the oh so sultry weather.
