Dairygold Co-Op SuperStores’ newly launched online shopping facility - www.coopsuperstores.ie - which gives nationwide access to Ireland’s largest online country store, has been shortlisted as one of six finalists for the Retail Excellence Ireland e-Commerce Website of the Year Award 2014.

The online store, which caters for the farm, home, garden and petcare products and is ‘live’ a mere 3 months, has received this nomination in recognition that despite being traditionally rooted in local communities, Dairygold Co-Op Superstores is progressing to meet the demands of its customers and the wider community.

Co-Op SuperStores is the retail division of Dairygold Co-Operative Society Ltd., and currently operates 39 retail stores across Munster, including in Mitchelstown and Fermoy. The addition of an online store, which is a huge virtual expansion for the Irish-owned company, now enables customers to access the country store from any PC, laptop, smart device or mobile phone nationwide.

“Launching our new look website and online store is an exciting time for the company as we expand our offering beyond the Munster region, meaning that every county in Ireland now has access their very own ‘Local’ Co-Op Superstores simply by logging on to coopsuperstores.ie. This move to the online sphere is a natural progression, making our product range available to a larger proportion of the Irish market, and adding an extra element of convenience for our existing loyal customers,” commented John O’Carroll, Head of Retail at Co-Op SuperStores.

COMPREHENSIVE RANGE

With a significant agricultural trade and with farmers busier than ever and becoming more tech savvy, placing orders for farm supplies from the farm or yard at any time day or night will be imperative for the retailers’ customer base. In addition to the usual methods of payment online, existing Dairygold credit account customers can also charge their online orders to their credit account and even re-order previous purchases by pulling up their purchasing history at the click of a button.

With over 5,000 products currently available for customers to buy online, Co-Op Superstores will continue to expand their product range online, as new products are introduced and seasons change, ensuring that they offer a comprehensive range of farm, home and garden products.

Online customers can expect delivery within 2 to 5 working days and delivery costs start from as little as €6.50 for orders of up to 30kg, with free delivery on orders of €200 or more. To support and assist customers ordering online, there is also a dedicated Customer Care Line on 1890 22 11 33 and lines are open Monday to Saturday, from 8am to 6pm.
