While many people throughout the country have begun the practices of social isolation and cocooning a couple of weeks ago, for others this is the first full week of significantly restricted movement.

However, for Ireland’s only community of Cistercian Nuns who are based in St Mary’s Abbey, Glencairn near Lismore, the closed-off, monastic existence, is a way of life.

Abbess Marie Fahy recently took to social media to share her tips and advice with people on how to make the best of this new way of living.
