The Midleton/Waterford group of the Chernobyl Children's Trust accompanied young people from Belarus when they visited Leahy's Open Farm in Dungourney last Thursday.
The children have been in Ireland since 22nd June and are being hosted by families in the area. Outings, picnics, day trips, a visit to Fota Wildlife Park and lots of fun and games have been the order of the day for these lively youngsters. They plan to stay in the country until the end of July and there's lots to see and do in the interim.
Leahy's Open Farm was a real treat for this lot who especially enjoyed the animals, the spacious playgrounds and farm museum. They got the royal treatment from staff who said they were were delighted to welcome such a friendly and upbeat bunch.
